Our School Chaplain, Mrs Coral Atkins, returned to Spearwood in February 2026.

She works at Spearwood  on Thursdays 8:00am – 4pm. 

The role of the Chaplain is determined by the school with the Chaplain and completing a Local Agreement.

The Chaplain's role includes working with students at the request of teachers and parents.

A request for School Chaplain support can be completed at the school office.

Activities

• Available for one-to-one chats with students, providing a safe and confidential space to support emotional and social well-being,
• Breakfast club before school on Thursdays,
• Arrange community referrals and resources.

Support is available for:

• Peer skills, communication skills and problem solving,
• self-esteem, self-regulation, resilience and self-care,
• hardship and food insecurity,
• significant changes in personal circumstances, family breakdown, grief and loss.
